Use Your Imagination
You no doubt have heard the axiom, ‘Use your imagination.’ Imagination is the act or power of forming a mental image of what one wants to create or use to deal with an issue that needs to be resolved: resourcefulness. This common definition seems trite and uninspiring. To a large degree this is true, because, the reality is:
Your imagination and everything in your world was first a thought [imagination] before it became a thing. You know this to be true, however, you might forget to remember how powerful thoughts are.
The Universal Laws are the basis of cause and effect, thus, your thoughts, feelings, words and actions are embodied with this powerful energy. Everything you think, feel, say, and do in each moment comes back to you to create your reality. Energy moves in a spiral, so what goes around comes around. Thus, the combined thoughts, feelings, words and actions of everyone and everything creates a collective consciousness, it creates the world you see and experience.
James Allen, author, ‘As a Man Thinketh,’ wrote, “Until thought is linked with purpose, there is no intelligent accomplishment.’ This means that although, many kinds of random thoughts will move through the mind, if one does not have a purpose for them, one cannot organize the thoughts to become a worthy ideal.
French author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, best known for his novel, ‘The Little Prince, said this: ‘Un tas de rocher cesse d’être un rocher entasse le moment qu’une personne seule contemple il portant à l’intérieur d’eux l’image d’une cathédrale.’ [‘A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single person contemplates it bearing within them the image of a cathedral.’]
You need to remember your imagination is the compass upon which the intelligence of the universe can move to and through you to accomplish your desires and ideal. In order to make something out of any rock pile in your life or in your world you need to choose to imagine the beautiful creation you desire standing there.
