Are You On Track With Your New Year’s Resolutions? If Not, There Is A Solution

The first month of the New Year is nearly gone. Many people are lamenting, Where did the time go? Deadlines, responsibilities and the endless treadmill of life can distract you from the resolutions you made.

You heard it said before and you know it in your heart, it is the external stuff that leaves you stressed, depressed, disappointed and overwhelmed. Add to that the constant news of economic troubles, job loss, home foreclosures and working hard to maintain the standard of living you have become accustomed to enjoying, it is easy to forget the most important person to take care of first is – your Self.

To many a resolution to begin exercise or exercise more, eat healthier, reduce weight, meditate and tend to spiritual needs unwittingly becomes another burden to manage. Yet, you know tending to these aspects of your life will enable you to manage the external pressures with greater ease. Therein, lies a dilemma many fail to find a workable solution. However, the solution is as simple as looking within for guidance. The answers to your questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen and trust.

Quiet contemplation and a focus on spiritual growth – no matter your religious beliefs  – will lead you to a clearer vision on how to accomplish the resolutions you set. Spirituality and religion go hand-in-hand, however, spirituality stands alone with no need to be connected to religion.

More people than ever before understand that one needs to nurture Mind, Body and Spirit, which is what prompts one to make the resolutions one does. Contrary to many people’s beliefs, no matter how difficult the landscape is in your life, it will become easier and more joyful when you keep your resolutions and achieve them.

Proper nutrition is the basis for good health in Mind, Body and Spirit. No overeating, no dairy, no sugar, no wheat, no genetically modified food (GMO), exercise, meditation make up the foundation for healthy living.

You can live healthier and a more fulfilled life by looking inward to meet the needs of the Mind, Body and Spirit. Many people find everything they need – a healthy family, a warm home and other aspects of life that brings meaning.

Expectation of perfection is toxic to your Mind, Body and Spirit. Every transformation is self-transformation. However, you need to take the time in the midst of your busy life to take care of your Self. When you fail to take care of your Self; you fail to be the person you were born to be.
