Depression – Breakthrough Treatment

In 2005 the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention reviewed 2.4 billion drugs prescribed – 118 million of these prescriptions were for antidepressants. Furthermore, a landmark study on the economic burden of depression revealed that depression cost Americans $43.7 billion in 1990. Imagine what the cost is today.

Contrary to popular medical terminology, depression is a state of mind caused by deeply held emotional, physical, spiritual wounds, instead of a Character Flaw or illness.  The medical profession looks at the cause of depression as a complex disorder – caused by some inherent flaw in the person, including genetic factors.

Symptoms labeled depression include:

  • Fatigue or decreased energy
  • Difficulty with concentration, memory, or decision making
  • Feelings of hopelessness, or pessimism
  • Insomnia or sleeping too much
  • Loss of interest in hobbies or activities, including sex
  • Feelings of guilt, shame, helplessness, or worthlessness
  • Overeating or loss of appetite – escalating to obesity, anorexia or bulimia
  • Persistent aches and pains, including headaches or digestive issues
  • Feelings of sadness or anxiousness
  • Thoughts of suicide

Because the state-of-mind labeled depression impacts many people; it is crucial that this issue be mitigated effectively.

However, strong antidepressant drugs have little or no impact on the symptoms. Contrary to what is portrayed in antidepressant commercials – these drugs are unable to elevate mood levels. Rather the drugs ‘flatten’ or reduce highs as well as lows. The overall effect then is rendering a ‘zombie-like’ lack of emotion.

Furthermore, pharmaceutical drugs manipulate the action of neurotransmitters, on the premise that changing levels of one or more of these chemical messengers will relieve the outward messages labeled depression.  For example: Antidepressant drugs known as SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) supposedly increase the available levels of the neurotransmitter Serotonin.

However, serotonin levels can be improved effectively with nutritional supplements. Such supplements as St. John’s Wart, Sam E, Chia or Salba seeds are highly effect in stimulating natural Serotonin production with no side effects.

All pharmaceutical drugs carry dreadful side effects. SSRIs like Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Cymaolta and others cause tremors, headaches, nausea, weight gain, nervousness, dry mouth, excessive sweating, diarrhea or constipation, lack of sex drive and repressed feelings. Some antidepressants, such as: Cymbalta and Prozac have caused severe side effects including hallucinations and suicidal thoughts.

All emotional, mental and physical symptoms are caused by deep emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wounds. In order to fully heal the symptoms one needs to discover and heal the original cause.

Deep in the brain, called the brainstem, there are several highly sensitive nerve centers that serve to alert the system to something in the psyche, physical and Etheric body that needs attention. These nerve centers reach into every part of the brain and into the unconscious and subconscious mind.  This sensitive nerve center is called the ‘reticular activating system,’ (RAS). The RAS is on the job 24/7 ready to alert the conscious mind to things that are:

  • Familiar or connected to the system in some way
  • Unusual, abnormal, shocking or strange to the system in some way
  • Dangerous, threatening or problematic to the system in some way

Starting with the industrialized age the majority of people began operating on ‘auto-pilot’ whereby life is familiar on a regular basis. People’s minds slip into alpha-mode, which allows them to perform routine tasks such as ordinary chores/tasks, driving/cleaning, etc. without needing heightened attention.

If something suddenly or unexpectedly transpires, such as the telephone ringing, door bell ringing, loud noise or siren, the RAS system becomes aware of it first and instantly sends a chemical signal to the brain—alerting us to snap out of alpha mode and move into beta-alert mode to access the situation and respond accordingly.

Managing various forms of stressors on a daily basis is part and parcel in life. When something transpires that represents a severe stress, trauma or threat to one’s safety or survival RAS instantly alerts the brain on a deeper level. The brain sends out the fight or flight signal and survival chemicals are instantly pumped into the body via the autonomic system. This RED alert, then becomes a Biologic Conflict—fight or flight.

It is during the Biologic Conflict—fight or flight—mode that the body responds with physical changes, including manufacturing defense tissue to help increase its ability to find a resolution to the conflict. Biologic Conflict is a type of stress that affects the mind, emotions, brain, body and spirit, all at the same time. Biologic Conflict remains active until a resolution to the conflict is found. During this period one is in a Conflict Phase.

When the Biologic Conflict is caused by relational issues, such as:  verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, the person is often only able to find a temporary solution. Thus, the Biologic Conflict erupts again when one least expects it. Therefore, setting off the ‘fight and flight’ reaction before a resolution to the previous assault could take place.  While it might seem redundant to say, however, it is important to state that a Biologic Conflict for an adult is easier to manage than Biologic Conflict for a child. The only recourse for a child is to push the conflict below the conscious mind and into any area of the body, including blood, bones, marrow, tissue, hair follicles, organs and cells.

Looking at symptoms called ‘Depression,’ or other dis-ease in a different way leads to the realization that the dis-ease is under the direct control of the brain. Psyche and body dysfunctions are a completely natural response that is designed to help protect us from harm and keep us alive during times of extreme stress.

Symptoms during the Conflict Phase are few. However, the dis-ease rarely creates observable pain until the dis-ease is extremely pronounced.

When one is able to find a resolution to the Biological Conflict then RAS automatically turns off the emergency signals to the brain. The brain, then, shifts to incorporate the resolution as a Healing Phase. Sometimes the resolution works and sometimes it is inadequate for the task. Thus, if the resolution is inadequate, symptoms will become apparent such as described above.

If these symptoms are labeled Depression – a label specifically created to prescribe pharmaceutical drugs, Western Medicine philosophy dictates that a battle with invasive chemicals is warranted. If the warfare with pharmaceutical drugs fails, additional invasive procedures are employed – such as shock therapy and a surgical procedure called, Frontal Lobotomy.  Walter Freeman and his colleague James Watts performed the first U.S. documented lobotomy in 1936.

Between 1939 and 1951, U.S. physicians performed over 18,000 lobotomies. It was frequently used on convicts. In Japan it was recommended for ‘difficult’ children. Surprisingly, the old USSR banned the procedure in 1950 on moral grounds. Some western countries permit the use of lobotomies, although its use has decreased dramatically worldwide.

Throughout the 1950’s people after seeing their loved one’s lives turned to zombie-like states protested the prevalence of the procedure.  There are a few cases that have surfaced since a moratorium was decided in the U.S. in 1951.

In spite of all the pharmaceutical drugs Western Medicine has developed or removing body parts does nothing to resolve the Biologic Conflict. As long as the Biologic Conflict goes unresolved the brain will look for places in the body to continue to seek resolution. While depression may not reoccur, other dis-ease will usually surface, diabetes, cancer, lupus, fibromyalgia, MS, heart disease, arthritis, migraine headaches, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight/obesity, and the list goes on.

Ultimately, the success of dis-ease treatment or program depends on finding and healing the underlying root cause of the mental, emotional, sexual or physical trauma—the Biologic Conflict. Since the Biologic Conflict impacts every aspect of the human system, it is logical that the root cause needs to be accessed using the Subconscious mind, which holds all memory, answers to all questions and all truth.

A complete healing protocol for any dis-ease or distress is:

  • Reduce the accumulation of distress, dis-ease and toxins
  • Repair physiological damage with natural supplements and vitamins
  • Replenish the body’s supply of essential nutrients
  • Restore the harmonious balance of mind, emotions, body and spirit
  • Rediscover the reason (the root cause) the body needed to find a resolution
  • Replace the heartache, sadness, fear, shame, guilt, humiliation, anger with love, empathy, light and forgiveness
  • Realign the energy patterns in mind, body and spirit

When the natural healing protocol is completed the mind, emotions, body and spirit are free to automatically go back to their natural homeostasis—peace of mind and wellness. No prescriptions, chemicals or removal of body parts required.
