Do thoughts alone create our reality, or do we need action as well in order to manifest them?

Manifesting is the conscious creation of the circumstances and outcomes that make a fulfilling life. If you are struggling to define exactly what you desire, spend time focusing on creating clarity.

Mindful meditation can be a useful tool to stay focused—it quiets the mind and helps increase self-awareness. Or, if you’re not the meditating type, you can make a vision board where you include pictures and words of what you desire to manifest in your life. Or ask a friend to help you. Sometimes talking out loud about what you desire for your life (and don’t desire), will assist you to gain the clarity you need.

Beliefs and thoughts need to precede anything you desire to manifest. You need to make sure that the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of your life are in alignment and focused on what you desire to manifest.

You need to take all action that is required. Furthermore, depending on what you intend to manifest you might need to engage others to become co-manfesters. Every great achievement has required the initial idea, and the work that is required by many. Look from ancient times to today.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Bill Hartley, Ann Hartley, Ben Holden-Crowther, Muhammad Ghous Siddiqui was first published in 1937 following the Great Depression. It was immediately welcomed as an antidote to hard times and remained a bestseller for decades. Many people still find its philosophy of positive thinking and its specific steps for achieving wealth both relevant and life-changing. Hill contends that our thoughts become our reality, and offers a plan and principles for transforming thoughts into riches, including visualization, affirmation, creating a Master Mind group, defining a goal, and planning.

Think and Grow Rich explains how one’s mind needs to be our first line of effort in pursuing our dreams. The people whose lives are used as examples were focused and diligent toward reaching their goals. This kind of independence and self reliance appeals to me because I believe we have to be our own best friend, and because a positive attitude is half the battle. It really isn’t about only manifesting; it’s about self regard, self empowerment, self actualization and the joy of accomplishment on a grand scale.

I wish you well on your journey.
