Kingdom WithIn – Take A Pilgrimage

What have you discovered today that you did not know? No, I do not mean media hype, world disasters, or Hollywood gossip. Consider what would make your life easier, more effective, interesting and more enjoyable. Take a Pilgrimage.

A pilgrimage is an adventure into undiscovered territory. This territory is not only geographical, but, more significantly, it is an adventure inside oneself. Allow yourself a few minutes each day to learn a new word, a new fact, seek out historical finds; such as a lost city, artifacts, etc.

For example: The majority of people around the world think Egypt has the most well preserved mummies. The best preserved human bodies in the world are in China. This is one of the wonders of human life that is enriching, interesting and brings one to the most important land you will ever know – the “Kingdom Within.”

At the height of the cold war, in 1971, workers digging an air raid shelter near the city of Changsha discovered an enormous Han Dynasty-era tomb. Inside they found over 1,000 perfectly preserved artifacts, and some claim the most perfectly preserved corpse ever found. The tomb belonged to Xin Zhui, the wife of Han imperial fiefdom of Dai, ruler, Xin Zhui. Lady of Dai died between 178 and 145 BC, at approximately 50 years of age.

July 2010, University of Madrid, paleontologists, uncovered evidence suggesting cave dwellers who lived in northern Spain 500,000+ years ago took care of the elderly and infirm. The partial skeleton of a male of European species ancestral to the Neanderthals suffered from a stoop and possibly needed a stick to remain upright.

Do you know what animals, birds and creatures are on the endangered list? Currently, there are 41,415 species on the JUCN Red List and 16,306 are threatened with extinction, up from 16,118 last year. This includes both endangered animals and plants.

In the past 500 years, human activity has driven 800 species into extinction and an additional 65 are only found in captivity or in cultivation. Is the rate of extinction increasing or stabilized? You can find the answer.

When humans lose touch with the world around them, they lose touch with themselves, because, everything in the universe is interconnected from the grains of dirt to the mightiest tree, plants, animal, water, rock and air. Everything is comprised of energy and humans are intimately connected with this sea of energy, this sea of whirling electrons.

In the age of electronics it takes only a few minutes to gather information worldwide to become more aware of the world you are in. The resources are limitless, dictionary, encyclopedia, business publications, Internet, print or on-line newspapers or simply pay close attention to someone’s ideas and opinions.

The choice is yours – What do you choose to learn about the world around you and about yourself?
