Whenever you feel more tired than usual or run down, look at what you have been thinking, feeling and how you are acting. When you reflect you might notice a belief, behavior pattern or a relationship that is out of alignment with who you are.
You might believe you need to be perfect at everything or you may be bending over backwards to compel people to like you. Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed or simply have too much on your plate. Are there people or situations in your life that are draining your energy? When you are clear on the root cause of your current malaise, you can root it out and direct your flow of energy more effectively for your needs.
Our natural state of being is filled with vibrancy, happiness and aliveness. Yet, there are times when you might feel worn out. This in no way means that you are lazy or unfit for the tasks in your life; it means you need to recharge your metaphysical batteries and find a way to keep them charged. Vitamins and adequate rest can be helpful in restoring your physical body. If you are willing to delve deeper, you might discover there is an underlying cause for your exhaustion.
With adequate attention you might notice the reasons you feel run down has less to do with how much you are doing and more to do with your heart. Maybe in your heart of hearts you would rather be doing something else.
Pause now. Listen to what your heart really wants. It might take meditation, or just a moment of silent tuning in to gain the clarity of what you truly want. It is well worth the effort. When you know what you truly want to do, and honor that in every situation, you will find that getting run down or overwhelmed ceases to be an issue.
