Movement – Vital Celebration Of Life

Movement is a vital celebration of life. It is a way to claim your existence and relish in the joy of being alive and aware. Imagine how freeing it is to completely trust your body’s movements, knowing it has perfect strength and rhythm. Your body loves movement. When you stretch or dance, your body adjusts, realigns and starts to become fluid with the rhythm of life. When you move your mood lifts and you will feel more connected with the world around you.

Everything in the Universe is energy and this energy flows in a spiral fashion. If you seldom move your body except to move from here to there, short distances, you are out of flow with the Universe’s energy.

Are you feeling stuck, or want to release old energy or are you eager to feel more alive? You need to move your body. By giving your muscles a chance to do what they are created for, you will find that all areas of your body and life benefit as well.

Some times you might be so busy that you forget moving your body is an option. You might remain seated at your computer for hours every day or rush from task to task with robotic precision. When you are caught up in crossing off items on your to-do list, you might tend to neglect all the opportunities there are to enjoy your body in the process of living.

If this is true for you, you need to begin looking for opportunities to move more. Consider dancing or moving about freely as you do your daily chores, tend your garden or care for your children. If you are able to devote a set amount of time for self-care, practices such as yoga, dance, tai chi, kick boxing, aerobics, pilates, jump rope, and walking are all great ways to keep your body in motion and toned.

Notice if you can sense your bones as they provide graceful support, your muscles and your tendons expanding and contracting in the right measure, your lungs changing pace to fill deeply with fresh air.
