At the many crossroads in your life, your patience is the trait that permits you to wait until you have the opportunity to take a critical look at all the options you have before you come to a decision. When you take a second look you are protecting yourself from the hasty impulses that might otherwise lead you astray by causing you to focus on the whole or your attention on the first alternative you see to the exclusion of all other possible choices.
When you find yourself standing at a crossroads, you will likely approach the quandary before you methodically. A common rationale for forging ahead methodically is the belief that there is no time to investigate alternate solutions or path.
Yet, it is important to take a step back and review the way you have managed your success thus far. As Einstein aptly stated, ‘Doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results is the definition of insanity.’ Because people continue to do the same thing over and over, expecting different results is the reason it has been said that history repeats itself.
Although, you feel sure about the suitability of your preferences, when you take a second look at your options you will catch any inconsistencies that may later prove unfeasible. Because you sometimes feel compelled to rush, you are better able to discern the alternatives that will enrich and enhance your life when you take a second look.
You can avoid the pit falls by making it a habit to ‘take a second look.’ Your ability to hone in on good choices will help you achieve your goals with a minimum of exertion.
