Trust The Answers From Within

Since publishing the article, Answers to All Questions Lie Within, I have received several requests for an article on how to discern if one is truly receiving the correct answer from within.

When you accept that you have the answers within yourself, you simply stop searching outside yourself, such as seeking answers from authority figures, family, friends or colleagues. When you stop searching outside yourself, shift your focus and go within to find the answers to your questions.

Since everyone is unique, each with one’s own personal histories, sense of right and wrong, and experiencing the world in a unique way that defines one’s reality, looking to others for answers is only partially helpful.

Trusting your inner wisdom may seem impossible or awkward at first, particularly if you grew up with people who taught you to look to authority figures and elders for answers. You have exclusive access to your inner knowing. All you need to do is remember to listen to the quiet whispers, the pure thoughts that float into your mind. The pure inner thoughts of wisdom float in with no ‘pre-thought.’ The answers are clear, concise and direct. None are delivered in compound or complex sentences. Sometimes the answer is delivered in a dream or in a metaphor.

If you are unable to decipher the dream or metaphor ask your inner wisdom to bring another dream or metaphor to clarify it. While it seems the process could take a long time with practice you will find that within a short period, answers to your questions come within minutes or hours; usually no longer than three days. You might think; ‘Three days!?’ However, think about the alternative. How effective are the answers to your questions with your previous method; seeking answers from authority figures or others?

Remember you need to be patient and give yourself time to relearn how to hear, receive and follow your wisdom from within. When you are unsure about whether the information is reliable, think of a time when you trusted your own knowing and everything worked out. Recall how the answers came to you. Remember how you felt in your body as you recall each one and notice what transpired when you acted upon your inner wisdom. Then, recall a time when you did not trust yourself and the results did not work out as you believed they would. Trusting your inner wisdom can help you avoid going against what you intuitively know is right for you.

When you second guess yourself; go against what you know to be your truth; you will easily go off course, because you are no longer following your inner wisdom. By looking inside for the answers to your life’s questions, you are tapping in, tuning in and turning on your best guidance – the collective unconscious.

Only you can know for sure the how’s and why’s of your life. The answers you seek can be found when you provide answers to your questions rather than seeking answers to your questions from authority figures or those whom you believe have better answers than yourself.
