What Reality Do You Want To Create?

What Reality Do You Want To Create?

People often ask me, ‘Don’t you get tired of listening to people’s problems – tired of hearing the same thing every day?’  The first time someone asked me, I pondered my answer for a second.

I realized it is my personal and professional philosophy to hear what people say as an issue that needs processing and resolution. My answer is  – ‘I don’t hear that people have problems, I hear people are facing issues they want to resolve.’

My fundamental practice in resolving issues is looking at each issue from many perspectives. This is a moment to pause, reflect, consider and remember what and how this issue came into being, what it brings to the person’s life and does it need to be changed in some way, abolished and replaced with something else or does it need to be accepted as is?

When people fail to look at everything from many perspectives, it is simply labeled as a ‘problem.’ Thus, the negative thinking about it ensures. Think of all the different perspectives this issue brings to your life. When you implement the practice of looking at it from many perspectives, you avoid succumbing to the broadcast of ordinary thinking, or perhaps the broadcast of making it into a drama, bad news or worse news.

The dilemma of existence is deciding what to believe. Entire lifetimes are spent side-stepping the many perspectives that issues hold. The majority of people are deeply patterned and indoctrinated by the time they are adults and have abandoned their innate ability to decide what they want to believe. Deciding is fundamental to creating.

People wonder, ‘What should I believe?’ That is the wrong question. The right question is, ‘What do I want to believe?’

There is great power in the practice of deciding what you want to believe and looking at an issue from many perspectives. It brings you to a higher level of thinking and being. This practice will change the trajectory of your mood and your subsequent experiences, thus creating powerful results in your relationships, work and life.

“You experience what you believe. If you don’t believe that you experience what you believe, then you don’t, which still means the first statement is true.” -Harry Palmer  The beliefs you truly hold, the ones you have decided to believe, your faith will cause you to create or attract experiences, which will verify them. The beliefs you have merely accepted as part of your indoctrination may sustain an existing reality, but it will never create a new one.  What reality do you want to create?
