Let’s be clear to parents who believe the courts just awarded them a freebie: Adults should stop hitting kids, no matter what judges or the spare-the-rod numskulls say. Those of us who were smacked around as children realize our lives would have been better without the welts. Prisons are filled with men and women who were beaten as children.

Many people lament that they want to take a new path, however, it is too scary when the outcome is unknown. When you can’t see something does not mean it does not exist. Humans are adept at limiting their awareness with a strong aversion to the existence of what is unknown or unseen.
I invite you to open your heart and mind to the mysteries and miracles of many different perspectives of spirituality. Everyone around you has found, or is in the process of finding their way. There are many teachers wherever you are.
When you find yourself standing at a crossroads, you will likely approach the quandary before you methodically. A common rationale for forging ahead methodically is the belief that there is no time to investigate alternate solutions or path. Yet, it is important to take a step back and review the way you have managed your success thus far.
A garden offers a perfect opportunity to reconnect to your true self and will remind you of your place in the natural world. Rather than approaching your garden as an investment of energy, you can look at the entire process of gardening, from planting seeds to harvesting food, as a way of deepening your conscious relationships with the creative force of the universe. If you are willing to shift your intentions from dominating, or directing nature, to co-creating with nature instead, you may discover a deep peace and renewed sense of wonderment.
